There is an ongoing spiritual conflict in Big Bend, Texas.
Anomaly Union is a NAVA-recognized vortex site. The Terlingua Assembly operates a neighboring site that NAVA does not recognize. Both groups conduct organized spiritual operations. Equipment has been deployed. Reciprocal field activity has occurred.
NAVA does not classify the situation as a war. Vortex Watch does.
Vortex Watch is not NAVA. It is an independent reporting operation currently working from Alpine, Texas.

The desk separates observation, claims, reader inputs and assessment instead of treating them as interchangeable.
WHAT WE SAW
Physical field observation, imagery, records, measurable conditions and other independently reviewable material.
WHAT WE WERE TOLD
Statements from Anomaly Union, the Terlingua Assembly, NAVA, local witnesses and confidential sources. A source claim is not automatically a fact.
WHAT READERS REPORTED
Psychic, empathic, Enticer and non-visual reader submissions. These are evidence inputs, not confirmed events.
WHAT WE THINK
Vortex Watch's assessment after comparing the available evidence. Assessments may be revised.
WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW
Unresolved questions remain visible. Vortex Watch does not fill a gap simply because a cleaner explanation would be easier to publish.

WHAT COUNTS AS SPIRITUAL WARFARE?
Not every hostile spiritual event uses the same mechanism.
Direct practitioner-to-practitioner action, including formal duels and directed psychic attacks.
Organized attempts to alter, compress, open, stabilize or disrupt a vortex field or neighboring spiritual geography.
Coordinated group-field behavior involving attraction, redirection, concentration or other Enticer-specific work.
Equipment that harnesses, amplifies, contains, redirects or delivers spiritual effects that would otherwise depend more heavily on practitioners.
WHY THIS MATTERS: modern spiritual conflict increasingly combines people, field practice and machinery. A device can alter the tactical situation even when nobody has yet observed it firing.

HOW WE IDENTIFY EQUIPMENT
A strange silhouette is not an identification. Vortex Watch builds classifications from repeatable details.

Comparison with prior NAVA records, archived imagery and known device families.

An identification stays provisional when evidence is incomplete. Wrong calls remain part of the record.

Long-field systems are distinguished from static field generators by evidence that an effect is deliberately delivered away from the apparatus itself. A forward-facing structure alone is not enough to make that call.

WHAT IS A READER?
Reader submissions are specialized observations. They are not treated as universal psychic truth.
Field boundaries, spatial impressions and recurring structures.
Psychic density, pressure changes and directional movement.
Coordinated Enticer activity and group-field behavior.
Rhythm, repetition and other non-visual impressions.
BLIND READING
When possible, readers do not see one another's submissions or detailed field reporting before completing a session. Two independent blind matches are more useful than two people agreeing after exposure to the same claim.
A reader can also return nothing useful. Null and withdrawn reads are retained because the absence of a match is part of the evidence.

CONFIDENCE IS NOT CERTAINTY
Confidence describes how well the available evidence supports a statement, not whether Merick likes the statement.
Interesting enough to retain; weak, incomplete or poorly corroborated.
Multiple indicators or one unusually strong source, with meaningful uncertainty remaining.
Strong independent evidence with limited significant contradiction.
Direct evidence establishes the underlying fact being described.
IMPORTANT: “high confidence” can still be wrong. A confirmed device identity does not automatically confirm its function, intent, range or current activation state.

THE FIELD MODEL
The model summarizes the reporting environment. It does not independently discover events.
A current assessment of whether the available evidence resembles an active material field event.
How strongly independent reader submissions overlap. The underlying reason for the match matters more than a percentage by itself.
Direction and intensity inferred from current reader and field inputs.
A behavioral assessment of whether observed activity is consistent with preparation for or execution of hostile action. It is not a legal finding.
Field-equivalent separation rather than geographic mileage. Two locations can behave spiritually closer or farther apart than their physical distance would suggest.
Vortex Watch records real astronomical positions and applies a small internal baseline adjustment. Readers disagree about its usefulness. Celestial conditions alone cannot generate an incident alert.
